The reverse shows a curled paper scroll with rectangular frame with oak leaves and a banding in the background. Morlon exhibited this medal at the 1907 "Salon de Paris". Years later, the same obverse of this medal was used again with the inscription, AUX COMBATTANTS DE / 1944 / LA PATRIE / RECONNAISANTE, on the reverse within a laurel wreath.
