Work by Jan Gossaert as key work for exhibition in New York

Restoration has revealed that Portrait of a Man, a painting in the collection of the Royal Museum of Fine Arts Antwerp (KMSKA) that had previously been attributed to a follower of Jan Gossaert, is in fact by the Flemish Master himself. Moreover, the portrait will soon appear in the streets of New York as it will feature on a poster advertising the forthcoming exhibition Man, Myth and Sensual Pleasures: Jan Gossaert’s Renaissance at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
