The print shows Christ's descent into limbo after his death. He reaches the gates of hell and reaches out to Old Testament saints. Beside him Adam and Eve. In the background right the resurrection of Christ. The print has a Latin caption with a Bible quote referring to the Bible story depicted and a Latin caption on the Apostolic Creed.
