M Leuven welcomes a new masterpiece

M Leuven welcomes the eighteenth recognised masterpiece to its collection. The statue is a very interesting and high-quality piece that provides an international context and reference for the museum's rich collection of late-medieval sculptures from the Netherlands. The masterpiece is a Maria Lactans from the early 13th century made in Verona.
