The personification of Faith with cross and gospel sits next to a crowned woman holding a monstrance. Near them, Superstition sits on its back, with owl on its head and a censer in its hand. On the right, History writes the history of the popes. In the background on the right a round church building, on the left Christians are tortured and put to death.
