Madame Godebska (born Sophie Servais, daughter of the Belgian cellist Adrien François Servais) was the wife of the Polish sculptor Cyprien Godebski, the mother of Missia Natanson and a friend of Rops. During an illness, she had to drink a glass of milk every day. To encourage her, Rops sent her a new printer's proof every day, with a new sketch every day.
