He also made several films, e.g. about James Ensor, Rik Wouters, Henri Evenepoel and expressionism. Edgard Tytgat portrayed the brothers Luc and Paul Haesaerts in 1932. In his turn, Paul, who was also a painter, made this portrait of Tytgat with, in the background, the lady from Tytgat's painting Quand Monsieur l'époux va à la chasse, who is frightened and puts her hand before her mouth.
